Pune has quite a few options for those who’re craving good breakfast or are simply too lazy to cook. But chances are, you end up ordering in from one of the few eateries that’s open in the morning, and before you know it, you have trouble saving up!
Allow us to guide you through some of the best budget breakfast options that are not only easy on the pocket, but also open super early – so you don’t get late for work.
1. Yogi Tree, Koregaon Park
A large space with a simple seating arrangement spread out under the shade of trees, Yogi Tree is a great brekkie joint.

2. Meena’s Point, Salunke Vihar Road
This will remind you of a little shack in Goa!
With no added frills, this place believes in serving mouthwatering food, and we must add, they do a pretty good job of it too. Go here for the classic breakfast of sausages, eggs and toast before you head out to a chaotic day.
3. Yezdan Cafe, MG Road
From 6 am till 8 pm, there is not a single minute where you’d see the waiters idle here.
The bruns get over quickly, and bun-maska chai is the most popular item on the menu. Add in some masala omelette, and you’re set for the day.
4. Vaishali, FC Road
Highly recommended by locals and frequented by those visiting the city for the first time, Vaishali has been an iconic eatery in Pune.
Gorge on the ghee idlis, Mysore masala dosa and filter coffee while you’re here.
5. Cafe Goodluck, Deccan Gymkhana
You’ll find hordes of hungry kheema pav and bheja fry fans here as early as 7 am. For breakfast, the Irani chai, bun maska and bun omelet are recommended.

This humble eating joint has a casual vibe, as people line up for an early breakfast here. Drop by for a plate of egg bhurji and bun-maska-chai before you head out to work, and thank us later.
7. The Irani Cafe, Viman Nagar
Call for a bun maska jam, chicken kheema, chicken samosa, grilled chicken sandwich or an omelet here.
The old world charm of this Irani cafe will turn a dull day around.
