Picture Perfect: 8 Instagrammable Restaurants In Mumbai

Ready, set, click!

What’s the one thing millennial foodies love aside from eating? Clicking photos of the food, of course! And when the ambiance of a restaurant is as good as the food, it’s sure to make social media headlines.

From pretty little cafes to stylish bars, there’s no dearth of Insta-worthy establishments in Mumbai. But these eight places simply stand out.

1. The Looney The Lover & The Poet

Where: Khar

The decor is even more interesting than the name (inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream).

This Khar restaurant has stunning al fresco seating with dreamy lights, and furniture done up in blue and white. The indoor section has fun artwork and butterflies on the wall, and a multicolour paper art ceiling.

While you’re there, do try out the Khachapuri, a Georgian cheese-filled boat-shaped bread.

2. Coffee Culture

Where: Bandra & Kurla

This new cafe is absolutely adorable with pop print sofas and frames, and several India-inspired design elements. The Bandra outlet also has a lovely, bright-coloured outdoor section.

Some of the food is served in bicycle and truck-shaped bowls. Ain’t that sweet?

3. Doppio Bar & Brasserie

Where: Breach Candy

With those high-backed chairs, tufted sofas and wooden flooring, Doppio is reminiscent of a classic English bar. It’s warm and cosy, perfect for brunch or a dinner date.

If you visit, call for one of their signature coffee-infused cocktails.

4. Light House Cafe

Where: Worli

This restaurant and bar has a sunny yellow entrance and equally bright, happy interiors complete with dozens of lightbulbs! It’s as fun to visit in the day as it is at night.

Drop by for their deep dish pizzas, and don’t forget to ask about the ongoing offers on beer and sangria.

5. London Bubble Co

Where: Chembur

Bubble-shaped ceiling lamps, candy pink walls, slogan frames, chequered floor, and the Queen’s Guard to welcome you at the door! If this isn’t Instagrammable, we don’t know what is.

London Bubble has a couple of outlets across the city, but we’re loving the new Chembur one.

6. Bake House Cafe

Where: Kala Ghoda

The decor is a tribute to pop culture icons such as Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe.

You’ll also see a lot of quirky wall art and chairs with unusual prints here. Take lots of photos while you chomp on the Krusty Burger or the BBQ Chicken Pizza.

7. Taj Mahal Tea House

Where: Bandra

Tucked away in a small nook of Bandra, this tea house is all things pretty.

Soothing shades of blue, white and tan define the decor. Sleek wooden furniture, perfectly placed mirrors and lamps, and retro photo frames add to its elegance.

Sit back and enjoy the Kaccha Aam Iced Tea that’s part of their new summer menu.

8. Mockingbird Cafe Bar

Where: Churchgate

We love the fresh decor at Mockingbird with those artsy walls and posters. Plus, they have a little library and an attached garden. Need we say more?
